Historically, when your team is leading three points with 3.9 seconds remaining on the game clock, you don’t want to give up on the 3 pointer, and you absolutely I don’t want to give up a shooting foul over the arc. Still, that’s exactly the scenario where Giannis Antetocomo and the Milwaukee Bucks were at the wrong end of Tuesday evening.
With the game almost decided, Antetokounmpo committed a shooting foul at Tyrees Halliburton.
Halliburton went to the free throw line and completed a four-point play, with the No. 5 seeded pacer leaving in a 115-114 victory over No. 4 seeded Bucks. The Pacers currently have the same record as the Bucks (36-28) and have another meeting between the two sides scheduled for Saturday, March 15th at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
It should be a thriller if it’s something like the outcome of Saturday Night.
