Rockstar Games and Take-Two today released the second trailer for the elusive Grand Theft Auto VI just a few days after the game revealed that the game will be on sale quite a bit outside the fall 2025 release window. In addition to the new release date on May 26, 2026, this trailer will provide a clearer view of the game’s storyline, main characters, and some side characters.
The trailer feels like a gesture of reconciliation in many ways. This was one of the fan complaints that the studio only dropped one trailer for the game. This first trailer seemed mostly B-roll film footage without really focusing on the story or the main character. Another way, he appears to be aimed at fans who complained about not seeing many of the male leads in the first trailer, as he is the center of this presence.
The trailer’s explanation states, “Jason and Lucia always knew that the decks were stacked against them. However, when the simple scores don’t work, they find themselves on the darkest side of America in the middle of a criminal plot that stretches to the state of Leonida. The simple score could be wrong, but it’s probably not surprising that Jason and Lucia are in such a situation, as it could be the catchphrase of the Grand Theft Auto Series.
Take-Two calls the game “the series’ biggest and most immersive evolution,” showing a bit of what the two characters can get in Vice City. Some of the additional information revealed on the game’s website shows that the two can be involved in drug smuggling, bank robbery, and local music and the real estate scene.
