This year again, Netflix’s event gave us a sneak peek at upcoming shows and movies, with last year seeing big announcements of upcoming anime adaptations. The devil may cryAnother trailer was also released during Netflix Geeked Week, but with a slight twist, finally revealing that the film will be released in April 2025.
The new aspect of this series is Castlevania Producer Adi Shankar and animation X-Men ’97 Studio Mir has shown what they’re aiming for with this anime, with Dante leading the series. The Devil Hunter certainly looks and moves similarly to the game, but with a slight twist. In the anime, he Power Rangers Alum Johnny Young BoschWho Also He plays Nero, the co-lead of the series (and he’s Dante’s nephew). Devil May Cry 5 (Back in 2019.) In the games, Dante was voiced by Reuben Langdon, but this version of the character is younger, so what’s going on?
Franchise fans have pointed out that the series may borrow elements from the Tokyo Pop manga. Devil May Cry 3In it, Dante takes on a contract to find a young girl named Alice, who was abducted as a child by a demon that possessed a doll. The demon is called “The White Rabbit,” and as expected, the trailer ends with a humanoid white rabbit sipping tea and sitting next to a toy doll. The manga is split into three parts (only two were actually released), and aside from that trailer, the anime seems to be its own thing. It’s not yet entirely clear whether this is meant to link with the games or exist as a separate canon, but we’ll likely find out soon. The devil may cry Fall in April.
