My tip: If you are exploring New York with your kids and they are under 6, I wouldn’t buy a pass for them. Many attractions do not have an admission fee for children of that age!

Is the New York Pass worth buying?
Even before Covid, New York Pass quickly paid for itself. Now it’s even more worth it! why? Entrance tickets for many attractions have become much more expensive. For example, regular tickets to the Empire State Building cost $34 before Covid, but today it costs $48, with many others seeing a significant price increase.
My tip: Plan three days of three days visiting the attraction, not five days to spend half a day at the attraction.
By doing so you have two completely free days that you can spend in a very relaxing place, as well as you can, Save even more by buying a small New York Pass!
Below are some helpful tips to help you determine if the New York Pass is right for you!
The New York Pass is worth buying:
- If you plan to visit 3-4 attractionsI will purchase the New York Pass for a day.
- If you plan to visit Attractions 6-8buy the New York Pass for 2 or 3 days.
- If you plan to visit Over 10 attractions and tours3 or 4 day New York Pass is the best.
- If you plan to visit Over 12 attractionsthe 5-day New York Pass is definitely worth buying.
The New York Pass is not worth buying.
- You don’t want to go sightseeing for a few days during your sightseeing days. New York Pass is available for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 days and must be continuous on these days! If I only went sightseeing on the first and third days, I paid for the day without using it in between. A reasonable alternative to the New York Pass is attraction-based passes such as the Tourist Flex Pass and the New York Explorer Pass.
You are only planning to see some attractions. The New York Pass is ideal if you want to see some attractions a day. If you only have a few attractions on your itinerary, we recommend also looking at the attraction-based tourist pass. For a detailed comparison, see New York Pass Comparison.
New York Pass vs. Tourist Pass NYC
One tourist pass that is very similar to the New York Pass is the New York tourist day pass. The items are handled the same, and the attractions are almost the same. Price can be the deciding factor!
