During CES, Sony and Naughty Dog released a new trailer for the second season of HBO’s Emmy Award-winning series the last of usstarring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. And now we know when it will be released.
This is the first glimpse into the show’s future since a teaser trailer was released at the end of September. The two-minute teaser drew many similarities to the 2020 Game of the Year winner, but takes place five years after the climactic events of the first season. In it, we see the family relationship between Joel (Miller) and Ellie (Ramsey) unraveling as the two grow apart from the monumental moment of the first season finale.
Unfortunately, the age-old adage that there’s no rest for the bad guys extends to the undead and living duo fighting for survival. Just like the first season, only time will tell if the next season will happen. the last of us Either dogmatically follow the story beats of the source material or play around with them in creative and expansive ways. We expect the latter.
In addition to Pascal and Ramsey, Kaitlyn Deaver as Abby, Isabella Merced as Dina (Ellie’s new boyfriend), and Young Maginot as Jesse complete the show’s cast. As in the previous season, when Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, actors from the video game Joel and Ellie, made cameos. the last of us Jeffrey Wright will reprise his role as Isaac from the game. Additional cast members this season include Ariela Burrell as Mel, Tati Gabriel as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and returning actors Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley as Tommy, respectively. She will appear in the role of Maria.
