The “NWO” logo is one of the most famous logos in the world, but to my surprise, creators are not exactly libin heights from pigs… ‘Because they never say money from insanely popular symbols!
Yes, that’s right – there are hundreds of thousands (or more) of NWO shirts on sale, according to journalists – Mark Raimondyauthor of Say hello to the bad guysa brand new book detailing the history of wrestling’s most legendary factions.
Raimondi spoke in a recent interview TMZ Sports.
“It was unknown who actually sat down and designed the logo. No one knew who this person was for almost 30 years,” he said of the “symbolic” logo.
“I needed a lot of insight to my side and a lot of cold calling people. People think I’m crazy. What are you talking about in 1996? That was 30 years ago. I finally followed her.
Mark explained how it went down.
“The people at WCW came to the Disney MGM studio where she worked, and they said, “We need the logo in an hour.” And she’s like, “It’s okay, yeah, cool.” And that was really it.
Surprisingly, Raimondi says that the woman is not mad about how it fell…and instead, when he found out that his son was the artist behind the famous design, he thought it was pretty cool.
“She’s not bitter about it. She’s fine. That’s what to do, what it will happen. You’re going to work, you’re paid. That’s it.
Of course, if you’re not used to the new world order… they essentially cooled wrestling.
