As the Israeli Army continues to invoke reserves for expansion operations in Gaza, the Cabinet has approved NIS 3.4 billion worth of incentives for reserves drafted for combat duties.
The proposal approved by the Cabinet was created by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defense, which will reward the reserve officers with monthly grants of NIS 5,000-20,000 and provide tax credits to all combat reserves who will serve more than 30 days in 2025.
Digital wallet: Combat Reserve, which served for at least 10 days in 2025, receives NIS 30 each day of reserve obligations until the 30th day, and NIS 80 receives NIS 30 by the ceiling of NIS 5,000. Funds will be used to pay fees and fees to the state or for leisure and welfare purposes.
Grants to Reserve Commanders: Battalion commanders receive a grant of 20,000 NIS, Battalion Deputy Commander and Commander receive 10,000 NIS, and Vice President and Platoon Commander receive 5,000 NIS. This is offered in 2025 for at least 60 days of preparatory work (or 40 days if you are a student).
Tax credit points: Combat Reserves qualify for tax credit points in 2026. Depending on the size, those who have worked for more than 30 days will receive an additional 0.25 credit points for every 5 days, credit points for more than 40 days, credit points for more than 50 days, full credit points, and an additional 0.25 credit points for every five days up to the ceiling of four credit points.
Employer grants: Subsidies will be granted to reserve employers serving in 2025, in accordance with standards set by the Minister of Finance and Minister of Defense.
Housing benefits: Increases the priority rate of reserves in discounted apartment lottery tickets (25% to 50%) and increases the discount on land purchases for the construction of home-based projects by 5%.
Government services preferences: Prioritization and setting in a variety of fields, including gun licences, research scholarships, admission to higher education institutions, nursery school registration, and civil servants.
Benefits for discharged soldiers and families serving: The proposal also includes certain perks for discharged soldiers recruited into the reserve for mandatory services, including a one-off grant of NIS 1,000 for those who worked in reserves for at least 90 days for regular services.

Additionally, the NIS was assigned to activities and events for the families of reservists in 2025, and the NIS was assigned 10 million people for employment services for solutions to integrate reservists into quality work.
