George Ford will start in the fly half with his 100th appearance in the UK in his first Test against Argentina on Saturday.
The 32-year-old will become the seventh male Centurion in English rugby history, 11 years after his 2014 debut with the Six Nations in 2014.
Sale Shark Fly Halfford will co-captain England along with Penturion’s companion, Hooker Jamie George. Sky Sports.
Ford, a member of the England team that reached the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, is famous for kicking a hat-trick in a drop-goal against Argentina as Steve Boethwick’s team reached the semi-finals at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
“George has been a standout player for over a decade,” Bosewick said. “To reach 100 caps is an incredible achievement, and it speaks volumes about the experts and his people. Everyone on the team is extremely proud to share this moment with him.”
Ford will be on the backline at the center, Cebu Atkinson and Wing Will Muir will win their first England cap, while busback low Guy Pepper will start on the bench.
England is boosted by the return of Baath Flanker Sam Under Hill. Sam Under Hill missed the Six Nations with an ankle injury.
“We’re excited to play for Argentina and test ourselves against the strong and inform aspect,” added Bohswick.
“They hit the British and Irish Lions in Dublin, so they appeared as favorites in the series. They are led by Julian Montoya and I know that it’s a big challenge.”
Ahead of the 100th England Cap, Ford is incredibly proud
I’ll talk Sky SportsFord said:
“Even once you play, you never think you’ll reach nearly 100. I look forward to it. I look forward to playing on this team. I think the main thing for us is to ensure we have a successful game on great weeks and weekends.
“We understand the challenges ahead of us. Argentina is clearly in a big shape. They are the perfect team to compete against and we are far from home.
“It’s a pretty hostile environment when we’re here, but it’s incredible to play. Our plan is to be prepared as much as possible, impose a game plan and get great results.”
