I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day. Obligatory dinner dates and expensive roses were never my cup of tea. I prefer to stay home and open a bottle of wine without a 90 minute table assignment. But Galentine’s Day? That’s a concept I can support. How about getting dressed up and having a “Ladies Who Lunch” with the gals? Yes, please! I invited eight of my favorite blogger girls to the rooftop of the Waldorf Astoria. We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal with panoramic views from the city to the sea. An afternoon filled with (what seemed like) bottomless rosé and laughter.
If you’re a foodie like me, you’ll want to know what was on the menu. We enjoyed family-style appetizers of buttery burrata, pistachio guacamole, and flavorful tuna tartare. We then had the main courses: truffle cheeseburger, seared salmon, roasted chicken, bolognese ragu, and my personal favorite, the lobster burger. For dessert, I was very satisfied with the three types of snacks! Assortment of gingerbread cake, pomegranate sorbet and cookies. The food was absolutely amazing, each bite even more delicious than the last. If you haven’t yet experienced Rooftop by JG Restaurant, we highly recommend it for a romantic date, girls’ night out, or even a special occasion or event (perfect for bridal showers!). No matter what the occasion, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the food, drinks, and views.
Thank you for stopping by.
