So who is the Steelers’ latest cornerback? Here are five things you need to know about Kent.
Everyone at Harrisburg High School
Donte Kent was a star at Harrisburg High School on either side of the ball, a cornerback and wide receiver. He was one of the team captains and was a consistent winner there. Donte Kent has an older brother, Ronald. Ronald appeared in Harrisburg in front of him. Ronald continued to play college football in West Carolina before transferring to Central Michigan and playing his final year with his younger brother. And although Ronald Kent was not drafted by the NFL team, he is still a professional footballer. He signed with the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League and played 13 games in 2024.
Still involved in helping me get home
Despite Donte Kent, a college football player in central Michigan, Harrisburg is never far from his heart. And the same can be said for his older brother, Ronald. Together, they formed a nonprofit organization Kent Brothers’ Charities Helping Youths in Harrisburg. how? Through something other than soccer?
In 2023, they hosted over 150 local children between the ages of 8 and 14 for a free soccer camp in Harrisburg.
I decided to make things better for his family
Donte Kent’s parents and siblings traveled to Pro Day in Central Michigan to cheer him on his efforts. The central Michigan campus is about 620 miles from Harrisburg High School, so it was a huge commitment to his family. And he appreciates that. It drives him to make him better, not just for himself but for them.
“It feels good,” Kent said in an interview with Pro Day. Collegesportslive.com video by video. “I felt like I was home with the support system here. Just being here gives me even more motivation. I want to be more intense.
