Ryan Clark’s biggest sports play
When it comes to great theatre and great moments in sports, you often remember where you were in those moments. For former Steelers safety Ryan Clark, he happened to be there for two of the greatest sports theatres in history.
They happened against the Arizona Cards in Super Bowl XLIII. It’s a 100-yard pick six from outside linebacker James Harrison. Later that night, Clark was looking at the sidelines as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hit wide receiver Santonio Holmes for the final game wiener in the right corner of the end zone.
For Clark, who won the Steelers and Super Bowl as part of his famous 2008 defense, these two plays tie into the biggest in sports history. It’s difficult to choose between two.
More Notre Dame NFL Bloodlines Commit
If you are a former NFL great son and are aiming to play football in college, then perhaps at the next level of the NFL, you could potentially land with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at this point.
Notre Dame committed Saturday from WR Devin Fitzgerald, OLB Thomas Davis Jr. and WR Kaydon Finley. Do these surnames sound familiar to soccer fans? Think of Fitzgerald as the son of Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Thomas Davis Jr. is the son of former NFL linebacker Thomas Davis Sr., and Finley is the son of former NFL TE Jermichael Finley.
These three now join the sons of former Steelers Jerome Betis and Plaxico Bresses of Notre Dame. Ireland’s head coach Marcus Freeman, the former NFL linebacker himself, is cleaning up when he’ll end up tapping the NFL bloodline on his recruitment trajectory.
60 days until NFL kickoff
In just 60 days, the 2025 NFL season will be kicked off in the season-opening match between defending Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. A day later, the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers kicked off in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Then, on September 7th, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero shared a weekly slate in 60 days until kickoff as the rest of the NFL season is busy with slate tapping for the league.
The Steelers will pave the way with the New York Jets in a showdown between Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fields as the two quarterbacks changed teams this offseason. Other big games in the season-opening Slate include the Lion Packer, Ravensville, the 49ers Seahawks and the Bears Vikings in Monday Night Football.
Most of the soccer is here.
