Has anyone heard of it from Aaron Rodgers?
Besides Pat McAfee, yes.
Does anyone know if the Rodgers will play in 2025? He wasn’t that long ago as he was completely absent. However, there is little doubt that he will play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Or… I should say there is a bit Do you doubt he’ll play for the Steelers?
At one point it seemed that Aaron Rodgers was the only person who had no idea that Aaron Rodgers would play for the Steelers. Even Russell Wilson seemed tired of waiting for Rogers. He chose the New York Giants, a less desirable landing site, rather than hopeful that Rogers would not land in Pittsburgh. Wilson was probably thinking what we all thought. Rogers to the Steelers was inevitable. That really seemed like that. It mostly still seems to be the case.
But for now, Rogers is not a steeler yet.
Apparently, Rogers seems comfortable as a free agent.
And given that Pittsburgh has no other legitimate starting quarterbacks on the roster, we can bet that the 2025 NFL Draft is fast approaching, which has made the building more uneasy. The Steelers never admit it. Because they have to admit that Rogers had deceived them.
After all, I’ve seen this.
Rogers did this with the Jets just a few years ago. When New York agreed to terms of trade with the Green Bay Packers, Rogers backed the deal. Meanwhile, the Jets had signed free agents from Rogers’ wish list: receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb and tight end Marcedes Lewis. They avoided all the quarterbacks in the market. They were going as if Rogers was on their roster, even if he was absolutely not.
Like the Jets, the Steelers are stuck in Rogers’ purgatory. But thankfully, for Pittsburgh, it’s not exactly the same. The Steelers have not made the mistake of rebuilding the organization with Rogers’ image. Their move will benefit any quarterback, like the deal with receiver DK MetCalf. It’s not a decision based on having Rogers.
That’s good news. Pittsburgh is still built to accommodate almost every quarterback in the NFL. The Steelers won last year under Justin Fields and Wilson, proving that the game plans for both QBs are fundamentally different.
The bad news about the Steelers is that this may not be the way everyone expects. Rogers is unstable. He is a fragile creature to put it in well. And he is, if nothing else – mercury. He somehow managed to convince him to take him to the Minnesota Vikings. He was also able to retire to Costa Rica and start “Aaron Haska: The Darkest Retreat and the White Lotus Resort.” At this point, the Steelers must expect Rogers to have stalled but signed and history repeats itself.
What happens if he retires?
The Steelers have options. But they are not great.
Clearly, Pittsburgh had more veteran options at the opening of the free agency when Wilson, Fields, Geno Smith (via Trade), Sam Darnold and even Daniel Jones were available. If Rodgers falls, the Steelers may need to explore the Falcons QB Kirk cousin deal or draft a quarterback in round one. Pittsburgh is in financial health enough to understand how to get a bloated contract for his cousin under the $31 million cap space. But just because it is possible doesn’t mean it’s smart.
If Rodgers has not made a decision a day before the draft, Pittsburgh can enter despair mode. Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the cleanest QB outlook in this class, with no consensus on the best in the next class. That’s part because scouts don’t feel this is the strongest quarterback class. Everyone is hoping that Ward will be number one for the Titans. But if the Steelers are keeping their eye on Sanders afterwards, there can be trouble. The Giants, who have the No. 3 pick, are taking him on a visit this week. When he goes to the top three, Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart and Tyler Shough will be their next best option. However, they look like development QBs that benefit from one occasion as backup.
Would the Steelers be better off staying with Chedure Sanders and Aaron Rodgers?

It’s really a hassle for Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh will not be selected until the 21st time overall.
That might make you wonder if the Steelers have to return to their cousins again.
Pittsburgh can’t afford to wait for Rogers when the Titan gets on the clock. The Steelers will likely need to move to ensure signal power for their starting capabilities. And they move on with or without Rogers.
And by the way, that’s fine. That might actually be the best thing for Pittsburgh. The way Pittsburgh gets out of this situation is he has 10 wins with his cousin, Sanders or other newcomers. It’s Mike Tomlin. That’s what he does.
However, the Steelers seemed to push Rogers. only 10 wins. I wanted more Pittsburgh. I wanted to be a candidate. I don’t even believe that Rogers would put them/she places them in that position. But that seems to be what the Steelers think. Apparently they think Rogers is worth the headache.
Acknowledge the most likely outcome. Rogers announces decisions for this week or next week. And he’s just waiting to announce the right timing – when it gets the most attention. Perhaps he is trying to time it out with the launch of a tequila brand that has permeated Ayahuasca. I don’t know.
This is something the Steelers can expect from Rogers. It’s a bunch of nonsense.
And Pittsburgh, sorry to say that this is just the beginning.
He isn’t even on the team yet, as I have revealed in abundance. Imagine what would happen if he were there.
