Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas knows his team is in transition, and for Thomas, that means focusing on his own improvement and hoping that helps the Nets win.
When asked what he could improve on to get to the next level, Thomas said there is room for growth everywhere.
“Just keep doing whatever you can. My biggest improvement in points was from my second year to my third year,” Thomas said. “I was at 22.5 points. [points per game]So I’m just going to try to get in that 25 ppg range, improve my playmaking and continue to improve my overall game, and hopefully that will translate into wins.”
As for specific aspects of his own offense, Thomas is focusing on improving his shooting.
“Last summer I put a lot more emphasis on catch-and-shoot, and I think I was pretty high in the league in catch-and-shoot percentage. [this past season]”So I’m just going to keep working on it and hone the skills I had when I came to the league, shooting off the dribble and finishing around the basket,” Thomas said. [while] His catch-and-shoot is still improving and he is on track to have one of the best success rates in the league.”
