The New York Giants took the field Thursday for the second of three practices ahead of their Week 16 game against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
Head coach Brian Daboll provided updates on the status of several injured players in advance, including linebacker Brian Barnes, who will not practice for the second straight day but could practice on Sunday. He said that there is a sex.
“He should be ready for the game,” he said of Barnes.
Daboll was also optimistic that quarterback Tommy DeVito, who is still dealing with a concussion, will serve as QB2 against the Falcons.
“I think he can handle it,” he said.
Meanwhile, quarterback Drew Lock, who is dealing with heel and elbow issues, successfully completed Wednesday’s practice and remains Sunday’s projected starter.
