Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Thursday that Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited will decide to raise metro fares.
He was speaking to the media at the BMRCL office after examining people.
When asked about metro fares, he said, “The committee has submitted a report on the increase in metro fares. The companies have already made a decision. I will not interfere with the contents of the report.”
He further stated, “A central committee led by a judge has been formed for this. The Karnataka government will not interfere in this.”
Regarding the increase in water tariffs, the proposal to increase drinking water tariffs will be placed before the Cabinet.
“It has been 14 years since the last hike. The board is inevitable as it inevitably suffers an annual loss of Rs 1,000. Jayalam, chairman of Bangalore’s Water Supply Committee, reports to be presented in the cabinet. I have already submitted the book: “I have added Shivakumar.
On a hike for electricity tariffs, he said last time the Karnataka government had lowered its power rate. “But the media never emphasize that. They only report on price increases,” he said.
The deputy commercial also said measures have been approved to deal with traffic congestion in Bengaluru, including building a two-storey road along the beautification of the city.
“All new metro routes have a two-storey infrastructure covering around 40 km. We are planning on the next 30-40 years. Costs will be sharing 50:50 between BBMP and BMRCL.” Shivakumar added.
According to him, the additional cost for the two-storey is Rs 9,800. “The Ragigudda pilot project has been successful, but further improvements are needed,” he said.
Shivakumar added that proper parking facilities will be required for future metro stations.
“Now, people use the subway by parking their vehicles on roadsides and private property. We have instructed staff to deal with this. For the Phase 3 Metro route, two-storey infrastructure is a must. The rising costs of land acquisition are making roads more difficult to expand,” he said.
Shivakumar has conducted joint inspections in areas such as Hebabar, Golaguntepariya, Belroad, Lottegorahari and Sammanahari to identify highlands, lower paths and tunnel roads; It made transportation easier.
He also emphasized that under the Bengaluru initiative brand, BBMP and BMRCL must work together on the glorification of the city.
“Metropillar will be used for advertising and revenue will be shared equally between the two institutions,” he added.
He said it will facilitate traffic on Tumakuru-Kr Puram Road, BDA, Metro and BBMP.
He said discussions on funding for the Bengaluru development and irrigation sector will be presented to the Prime Minister on Friday.
Regarding the announcement of larger Bengaluru in the budget, Shivakumar said, “The Cabinet has approved the creation of a township near Bidadi. Public proposals and MLA opinions have been collected. Media input is also required. ”
Regarding the proposed second airport, he said, “The discussion is ongoing. A report will be submitted to the CM and me and discussions with the airport authorities will continue.”
When asked if the second airport was near Bidadi, he replied, “I have no information.”
Regarding the large Bengaluru authorities’ bill, he said, “The Joint House Committee is reviewing it. The bill has already been expressed and the media can discuss it.”
Addressing opposition to tunnel roads, he said, “Criticism is inevitable. Criticism is disappearing, but work remains.”
In the 170,000 Rs of Rs. 170,000 property records in Bengaluru are ready and 7 lakhs are pending. There is a system in place to address this, but details are still disclosed. I can’t,” he said.
