This lovely neighborhood in Lower Manhattan is home to two luxury shopping malls. Brookfield Place and OculusWestfield at the World Trade Center. Not only are these great places for shopping, they’re also great for eating out.
You’ll find a ton of great stores, including Kate Spade, Lululemon, Gucci, Sugarfina, and more — plus, the stunning Oculus Building makes the perfect backdrop for photos showing off your new purchases.
The two malls are relatively close and can be easily accessed by crossing the road. 9/11 MemorialAnother must-see spot in New York.
Iconic South Street Seaport Check out the museums and shops. One of the best in the area is McNally Jackson Bookshas served the community for decades, and also serves as a cafe and wine bar for patrons 21 and older.
Fifth Avenue
Fifth Avenue in Midtown Eastis home to an array of luxury shops and designer brands, including the famous Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store, which has delighted people of all ages since 1867, especially with its Christmas display windows.
New York is also a great place for holiday window shopping, as people travel from far and wide to see the incredibly elaborate displays that change every year in the windows of the city’s best department stores, including Bloomies, Bergdorf Goodman, and Macy’s.
Fifth Avenue is also home to great stores like Bloomingdale’s, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo, but be sure to bookmark these windows for the holiday season.

Flatiron District
of Flatiron District It has many of the same stores as Soho, including Tory Burch, Aritzia, H&M, Zara, and is less crowded. It’s also home to Banana Republic, which has several locations throughout New York City, including Rockefeller Center, Hudson Yards, and the World Trade Center.

Macy’s is one of my favorite department stores, and it’s huge too – there’s floors of affordable designer brands, huge cosmetics departments, maze-like shoe departments, and so much more you could wander around for days.
The Herald Square neighborhood (34th Street) is one of the most touristy areas in New York City, but it’s also a great place to go if you want to shop at famous stores like Steve Madden, Amazon Books, and Ulta.
Meatpacking District
Looking for designer clothes and chic clothing? Meatpacking District.
Named for a former meat-packing warehouse, this former industrial area has had a tumultuous and glamorous history of redevelopment and gentrification, including a period in the ’70s and ’80s when it was home to a string of nightclubs and “undesirable” behavior.
But today you’ll find luxury apparel and accessories from Diane von Furstenberg, chic denim and casual wear from Rag & Bone, luxury pajamas from Everjay NYC, upscale home goods from RH New York, and big name brands like the Apple Store, Christian Louboutin, Kiehl’s, Lululemon and the new Marni Market.
This is also where the famous “Artists and Fleas” flea market and Chelsea Market take place.
Greenwich Village
This vibrant district Greenwich Village It is home to a wide variety of boutiques and second-hand shops.

Madison Avenue Shopping
What New York vacation would be complete without a shopping trip? Madison Avenue On the Upper East Side?
Even if you don’t buy anything, this is one of the best areas in the five boroughs for window shopping.
Madison Avenue is home to many luxury brand stores, including Acne Studios, Celine, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, and Reformation. After enjoying shopping, Central Park If you’re not short on shopping, check out the Guggenheim Museum on 5th Avenue.
Central Park is beautiful year-round and is a great place for an outdoor picnic on warm days or ice skating in the winter.

Soho (aka South of Houston Street) is one of the most popular shopping areas in New York. This is where New Yorkers go to shop.
The neighborhood is home to over 25 blocks of locally owned boutiques and big name brand stores.
It can get quite busy on weekends and holidays, especially around Christmas time, so we recommend arriving early to get the most out of your shopping experience in SoHo.
Nearby Chinatown You can shop at a variety of street stalls and mom-and-pop shops, and it’s the perfect area to grab a snack after an afternoon of shopping in Soho, such as some delicious dumplings at Nom Wah Tea Parlour.
Union Square
Union Square is a major shopping destination and one of New York City’s most famous tourist attractions.
The area is home to many name brand stores such as Free People, Forever 21, Nordstrom Rack, and Sephora.
If you visit during the holiday season, you might find yourself in the middle of the Christmas market hosted by Urban Space. The market features a variety of vendors and food pop-up shops, making it the perfect opportunity to pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts for loved ones. We recommend sipping a cup of hot chocolate as you browse the shops.
Williamsburg
Quirky Brooklyn of Williamsburg It’s the perfect place to shop for unique gifts, vintage items, and the famous Brooklyn Flea Market.
Many of the area’s shops are located along Bedford Avenue, including Brooklyn Charm, a popular jewelry store filled with small keepsakes, and Catbird, which sells handcrafted jewelry.
Williamsburg is home to numerous thrift stores, including Awoke Vintage, Buffalo Exchange, and Crossroads Trading.
There’s also an amazing botanical garden in the heart of Williamsburg called Chelsea Garden Center, a great place to buy indoor apartment plants and beautiful, fresh floral arrangements.

If you love outlet shopping, we have great news for you! The New York Outlets are just a 1.5 hour drive away.
If you’re willing to travel outside of the city to get some great deals, Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets in Central Valleynew york.
It’s about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Manhattan and can be accessed from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, or you can book a transfer online and board the bus at various pick-up points and return when you’re ready. It’s home to numerous big-name brand stores, including Abercrombie, Dior, Lucky Brand, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Saint Laurent.
