Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer and the official start of the “outside interior tracking” season. Enter a washable rug, an average wool, shag, or a low-maintenance alternative to your jute number. (They are spot cleaned easily and can throw laundry.)
Mashable tested two biggest names for washable rugs – tattered and falling – and found that both products were durable, soft and reasonably priced. Conveniently, both brands are running Memorial Day sales this week.
Shoppers can get up to 20% off their Ruggable lineup by entering their coupon code, Median, at checkout. Prices start at just $71.20 for a 2 x 3 doormat with standard non-slip pads. (This includes all collections and collaborations with Jonathan Adler, Iris Apfel, Goop and Morris & Company) At the time of writing, all styles I checked were set to ship free of charge within a week.

Meanwhile, shoppers can save up to 30% on all washable rugs on Tumble. No code is required. (Simply add a rug to your cart and activate the discount.) That style starts at $83.30 for 3 x 5 rugs. This comes with cushioned padding and orders must be shipped free of charge within two weeks.
It’s worth mentioning that Ruggable rugs are also available through Amazon, but the retailer was supplying styles at a worse discount when I last checked. For example, this 3 x 5 Impasto Slate Blue rug (usually $139) is marked at $126.65 on the Ruggable website on the $126.65 on the MEMDAY and Amazon.
If you’re trying to decide on two brands (and pricing isn’t a crucial factor), know that while Mashable’s Dylan Haas likes the wider style choices of Ruggable, Tumble set up is easy. Check out his deep diving.
