Gabe Madsen scored 24 points and became Utah’s career leader with a three-pointer as UTES defeated 17 Kansas 74-67 on Saturday night.
At 1:58, he was given a Utah career record for the 288 Made 3s, with the fifth and final three pointer of the game. He then played to clinch the game of UTES, hitting two free throws in 26 seconds.
Utah (14-11, 6-8 Big 12) was never kicked out, but Kansas tied the game with 60 before UTES’ big finish.
Zeke Mayo had to temporarily leave the game due to a lower limb injury, but he led Kansas (17-8, 8-6) with 15 points, with Dajuan Harris Jr. 14 points and Hunter Dickinson 12 Points have been added.
Ezra Ausar scored 12 points, while Jake Wahlin scored 10 points and 12 rebounds, with Utah taking his first quad win in 10 innings.
Kansas coach Bill Self acquired the skill to play at 11:37, and the resulting free throw gave Utah a 60-49 lead. The Jayhawks then scored 11 consecutive points.
