Unlike other found footage films The Blair Witch Project or Deborah Logan’s arrestWe’re not working with a group of people reporting their findings on camera – in fact, there’s very little dialogue. Lucky Lou The total lack of dialogue makes it all that more unsettling as you try to piece together Lucky Lou’s master plan, and this lack of dialogue is compounded by the lack of a clear timeline or any other insight into the daily life of a stalker/murderer.
As I said before, all we see is a glimpse of what Looky Lou is seeing – what he’s filming – and his editing setup. Despite not knowing the exact timeline, I was quickly led to believe he was filming the inside of his victims’ homes, scrutinizing the floor plans before returning to carry out his murderous impulses.
Since Looky Lou has purposefully kept himself secret about his personal life outside of his “projects,” I have always wondered what kind of activities he does when he’s not on camera. As far as I know, he lives a normal, low-key life, going bowling, playing board games with friends, and going to his parents’ house for Sunday dinner.
