Something Wiccan This Way Comes!

The following is a review of “Agatha All Long.”

plot

Set after the events of WandaVision, Agatha Harkness recruits unlikely allies in her quest to regain her former powers and uncover the secrets of the Darkhold.

review

I highly recommend watching WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness before watching Agatha All Long.

There are three stars that I would like to highlight this time. Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, and Aubrey Plaza were truly magical. Kathryn Hahn graced our television screens as the mysterious Agatha Harkness. The last time we saw her, she confronted Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff, but she was left helpless after that brutal encounter. Agatha All Along sees Agatha awaken from her spell and journey down the path of witchcraft to reclaim her powers. This path itself offers some magical developments, but I leave it up to the reader to discover them.

Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke, “Agatha All Along” (Marvel)

Joe Locke will make his debut as a young teen who will become the next popular mysterious character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). We’ve really enjoyed Joe’s role throughout the series and look forward to seeing more of him in the MCU. Joe has been stopping hearts in the series Heartstopper and now the same thing is happening in Agatha All Along. Aubrey Plaza cheered us up with her magical presence as Rio Vidal, a green witch with a sinister background. Aubrey gave a death-defying performance and we can only hope to see her again in the MCU.

Aubrey Plaza in Agatha All Along (Marvel)

The film features performances by Sasheer Zamata, Ari Ahn, and Patti LuPone, who all made their MCU debut as witches who join Agatha on her journey. Debra Jo Rapp will be back as the Sharon Davis you remember from WandaVision.

We’ve intentionally left out spoilers because we don’t want to spoil your own Witches Road journey, so we recommend you watch this series as soon as possible. Next up in the MCU, the third season of What If will be released in December 2024, with amazing stories from the rich tapestry of the multiverse.

Agatha All Along comes with a great soundtrack on Spotify.

There are numerous references to the witch legend throughout the series and in the end credits. Jac Shafer has created some great stories, and I look forward to seeing more of his work. Agatha All Along leaves us with hope that we haven’t seen the last of Kathryn and Jo yet, while elegantly connecting with WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This was an enchanting story with a magical twist throughout. Watch Agatha All Along on Disney Plus and journey down the path of the witches. Unfortunately, there is no final credits scene. I rate Agatha All Long 4 out of 5 stars.
