It’s been two years since New Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers stepped onto the field in week one against the New York Jets. And he was able to play all 17 games with the Jets in 2024.
But that doesn’t mean Aaron Rodgers was completely healthy last season. According to insider Mark Caboley, Rogers was everything but Completely healthy.
“I’m not talking about Achilles, I’m talking about the number of other injuries. Fan Morning Show. “Apparently I spoke to someone who said he was in the training room 24/7 at the end of last year. So I love bumps and bruises and everything.”
That should not be a surprise to anyone. Aaron Rodgers turned 41 during the 2024 season. At that age, it is easy to accumulate wear and tears. Then, considering Achilles’ injury a year ago, it’s a recipe for a small, persistent injury.
Perhaps that’s why it took Aaron Rodgers so long to sign with the Steelers. Clearly, Rogers was happening in his personal life. However, it has been clear in recent months that he had time to travel and enjoy different aspects of life. Some speculated that he simply avoided practice, as he doesn’t like spontaneous practice.
But perhaps Aaron Rodgers had taken it with ease to make sure his body was perfectly prepared for the essential mini-camp. If what Kaboly heard is actually true, then the Rodgers were playing better football on the field, spending more time on the field. The extra rest before entering the minicamp allowed me to do some Rogers.
Now, Rodgers has the Steelers mandatory minicamp to work with teammates and coaches before training camp. For this reason, former Steelers OT Max Starks calls timing “perfect.” Hopefully, that timing works well on the field.
And I hope Rogers doesn’t take away the Steelers training room of semi-human habitat this year.
