I should have called this “Postcard Lost in the Mail from Thailand,” but it didn’t really have the same ring to it. I traveled to Thailand in 2018 and stayed there. The Ritz-Carlton Phulay Bay Reserve. This property is truly magical and I loved that the local Thai culture was very authentic, unlike many other chain hotels. We had lots of fun activities including learning how to make delicious pad thai and traditional Thai shadow puppets. But my favorite day was when we took a boat to a secluded island for breakfast. I loved admiring the scenery from the longtail boat and seeing Mother Nature’s beauty in the distance. I also loved the private plunge pool that was separate from the room. We spent a lot of time soaking up the sun and sunset at this very spot. I hope to return to Krabi, Thailand soon. And needless to say, I would definitely book a stay at Phulay Bay again.
