Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday proposed 11 resolutions, including maintaining existing reservations for marginalized sections while strongly opposing any religion-based quotas.
Replying to a two-day debate in the Lok Sabha on the “Glorious Journey of 75 Years of the Constitution of India”, Prime Minister Modi said that the Constituent Assembly, after thorough discussion, has decided not to allow reservations on the basis of religion. He argued that Congress is currently committed to doing so. To appease the vote bank.
The 11 resolutions Mr. Modi proposed at the end of his more than 110-minute speech included a pledge to end dynasties, promote meritocracy rather than nepotism in governance, and zero tolerance for corruption.
The Prime Minister said these resolutions are aimed at shaping India’s future.

The Prime Minister stressed that these resolutions should serve as a guide for both the people and the government to build a stronger and more inclusive nation.
He said collective efforts and commitment to constitutional values are essential to the nation’s progress.
The first resolution calls on each individual to fulfill their obligations. “Everyone, whether an individual or a government, must abide by their responsibilities,” Modi said.
The second calls for inclusive development across all regions and communities, which is summarized in the following philosophy: Sabka Saas, Sabka Vikas.
The third resolution pledges zero tolerance against corruption and emphasizes the need for society to reject corruption. Prime Minister Modi asserted that “people involved in corruption should not be socially accepted.”
The Prime Minister’s fourth resolution was to instill pride in the country’s laws and regulations among the people and ensure they reflect the country’s aspirations.
The fifth resolution focuses on moving away from colonial mindsets and fostering pride in India’s traditions and heritage. Prime Minister Modi’s sixth resolution called for an end to dynastic politics and the promotion of meritocracy rather than nepotism in governance.
In the seventh resolution, the prime minister emphasized the importance of respecting the constitution and urged that the guiding documents should not be misused for political gain.
In the eighth resolution, the Prime Minister ensured that reservations given to marginalized communities would not be taken away and strongly opposed any attempt to introduce religion-based reservations.
The ninth resolution proposed by the Prime Minister envisioned India as a global example in women-led development and promoted gender equality and leadership.
The 10th resolution emphasized the idea of national development through regional growth and emphasized the symbiotic relationship between the nation and national progress.
The eleventh and final resolution emphasizes the following vision: Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat, Fostering unity and national pride.
The Prime Minister called for collective efforts to implement these resolutions, in line with the Constitution’s fundamental idea of “We the People.”
