oprah winfrey and Gayle King While out in New York to celebrate Gail’s 70th birthday, Oprah had a shocking surprise for her longtime friend.
Two friends visited Ci Siamo, a popular restaurant in Manhattan. Oprah wears a gold dress under a long white coat, while Gail wears a muted black and teal outfit that perfectly matches her scarf.
The two were joined by Megan Sullivanthe restaurant’s general manager, Gail, walked into the joint for what was clearly supposed to be a small dinner…Oprah had a big surprise for her.
Winfrey posted a clip of herself at the restaurant on her Instagram on Saturday…as she entered with a distracted Gayle, and dozens of people shouted “Surprise!”
Gail recoils in complete shock, but Oprah laughs at her reaction…explaining in the caption that it was difficult to surprise Gail, and their group had to tell the star a ton of lies. He explained.

Gail and Oprah have been friends for decades…they first met in 1976 when Oprah took a job as an anchor and Gail was a production assistant at a local Baltimore television station.
This friendship is still going strong…and obviously, it’s still full of surprises!
