Mainstream journalists are overcomplicating something very simple: Republicans want a nationwide abortion ban.

If you want a good example of mainstream news outlets rooting for Donald Trump to at least keep the polls even, this is it. the best: politiko “Trump and Vance’s efforts on Tuesday night’s debate stage and on social media neutralized one of the Democrats’ most effective attack vectors, months on the Republican ticket, to rebrand as moderates on abortion. This is the latest example of the effort and a sign that it may be working.”

That’s ridiculous. The whole world ruled that Mr. Walz beat Mr. Vance on abortion in Tuesday night’s debate. Also, about the importance of January 6th.

Otherwise, Walz might not have done so great. I don’t know — I didn’t watch it, and I still don’t. Because, as many of you know, the day before that, I lost my 15-year-old dog. my nation My colleague took over completely for me. i love them

But I noticed an exchange about abortion. Walz said Trump is “bragging about how great he was at trying and overturning judges.” Roe vs. WadeHe acknowledged the tragedy of Amber Thurman, who died after leaving the restrictive state of Georgia to seek treatment in North Carolina. he said the following Amanda Zulawskiwas refused an abortion even though she almost died from pregnancy complications. “If you don’t know [women like this]it will be soon. their project 2025 We’re going to create a pregnancy registry,” Walz said, but Vance disputed this.

but, politiko The playbook ruled it a tie…which actually means Vance won.

“There’s no question that J.D. Vance scared the Democratic consultants last night because they said, ‘Republicans are anti-abortion.’ ‘s magical message seemed to me to be soothing.” politiko. “I think the threat of a national ban rings hollow to many voters.”

Latest issue

sorry? There, Vance promised that President Trump would never sign a nationwide abortion ban. President Trump also promised this. Meanwhile, President Trump voted in favor of a six-week abortion ban in Florida. That’s what he means by leaving it up to the states.

Poor J.D. Vance should also talk to Marla Maples and Melania Trump and see if Trump will keep his word. He cheated on all three of his wives. I doubt President Trump will have the votes to sign the abortion ban, but what if he could? He signs so quickly that Ivana Trump will end up filing a grave on his golf course. (I’m so sad that JD can’t talk to Ivana.)

J.D. Vance clearly underwent coaching to help him speak (relatively) intelligently about everything, not just abortion. It wasn’t the shit show I expected (or, to be honest, expected; the Harris-Trump showdown was one of the best nights of my recent political life).

It wasn’t. But I think family planning sums it up perfectly. “J.D. Vance said, “national minimum standards” and he even said, “I certainly want an abortion.” illegal domestically. ” To be clear, a national minimum standard is the same as a national ban. ”

Why must we continue to act as if this is up for debate? Republicans will impose abortion bans if given the chance. If Democrats keep the Senate and elect Kamala Harris, they won’t have a chance. It is both very simple and very complex. Because our media doesn’t make it simple.
