Fans at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Mississippi, got a big surprise when actor Morgan Freeman joined Al Green on stage during his New Year’s Eve performance.
Freeman and Green performed a duet on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s 1971 classic “Let’s Stay Together,” and Clown joined in for the fun.
Morgan Freeman is reportedly a co-owner of the blues club.

Ground Zero Blues Club’s Instagram account shared a video of Al Green and Morgan Freeman’s performance on Dec. 31 with the caption, “Morgan Freeman & Al Green Ladies & Gentlemen!” did.
In the video, Freeman, wearing a cream turtleneck sweater and a dark double-breasted jacket, sings “Let’s Stay Together” on stage with the legendary Green, wearing a green blazer with a black collar and a white button-down shirt. They were shown putting it together.
Green invited the crowd to participate, and he and Freeman said, “I | I love you so much | Whatever you want to do | It’s okay with me | Because you make me feel so new | And so do I. I want to spend my life with you. ”

Freeman sang the second verse solo. “Let me say this ever since, baby | Since we were together | Oh, I love you forever | That’s what I need.” And the 87-year-old movie star also hits a high note, He received immediate approval from Coach Green. He applauded the “Million Dollar Baby” actor before continuing with the song.

Freeman also commemorated the New Year’s Eve performance with a social media post.

Fans praised the video in the comments section and wished the “Shawshank Redemption” star a Happy New Year in return.

Another replied: “Happy New Year, sir!”

It was Freeman’s dream to sing with Al Green.
CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez was at a juke joint in Mississippi during the show and videotaped another Angel performance.
Jimenez shared a video × Followers wrote in the caption that singing with Green was a “dream come true” for the Oscar winner.
The post was captioned: “Morgan Freeman took to the stage to ‘make dreams come true’.” He said it was to sing with Al Green. ”
One X user replied, “I’m happy to see these two legends enjoying life.” Another user added: “Two legends on stage, love to watch.”

Freeman founded Ground Zero Blues Club in 2001.
The “Glory” star opened the blues club with partners Eric Meyer, Howard Stovall and the late Bill Luckett. Their goal was to open a facility that celebrated Mississippi’s blues tradition.
In addition to clubbing, Freeman is still a very busy actor. He is currently appearing in two movies. Thriller “The Gunner” and drama “My Dead Friend Zoe.”
He is also set to appear in the new movie Now You See Me 3.

This action series is another show from ‘Yellowstone’ creator Taylor Sheridan. The show is based on the CIA, with Freeman playing the role of U.S. Secretary of State Edwin Mullins.
The show will begin its second season in October and is as popular as any other Paramount show that Sheridan stars in. Sheridan told Freeman that he wrote the role with the actor in mind to get closer to the star.
