Luke Rittler launched his campaign at the German Darts Grand Prix, defeating Cam Crab Tree 6-1 on the cruising.
The 18-year-old averaged 107.1 throughout the contest, dropping one leg after a comfortable victory with 84 checkouts.
Littler returned to the contest on Monday, facing World No 23 Joe Kallen, who defeated Mickey Mansell 6-2 in Munich on Sunday.
Michael Van Gerwen also scored a narrow victory over Kim Huybrechts after setting the final foot decider against the Belgian who missed three matches of darts in the previous leg, allowing Van Gerwen to claim a 6-5 victory.
Rob Cross gave him a 6-4 victory over Ricardo Pietotzco, Gerwin Price defeated Raymond van Barneveld 6-3, while Peter Wright gave him a 6-3 victory over World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker.
