Jackie Young will be able to add another honor to her list after the WNBA announced Monday that the Las Vegas guard won the 2022 Most Valuable Player Award.

Young, who started the All-Star Game for the first time this year, won the award after averaging 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 39 assists per game while shooting 43 percent from the field. The former Notre Dame standout posted career-highs in points, boards and 3-point percentage. She finished third in time points per game behind A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plumb.
The 24-year-old received 36 of 52 votes from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. Sabrina Ionescu came in second place with 10 votes, followed by Sophie Cunningham (7 votes), Plum (4 votes), and Tayla McCowan, Gabby Williams and Han Shu with one vote each.
Young and Ace have a chance to tie up the semifinal series against the Storm on Wednesday. Game 3 will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 10pm ET.
