It’s that time of year, full of fun family gatherings, holiday events, and wondering how to fit in a workout. I’ve always been a fan of quick dumbbell circuits, but even more so during busy seasons like this. I always appreciate the amazing feeling I get when I grab some dumbbells, put on my headphones, and after 20-30 minutes I’m sweaty and energized to tackle the rest of the day.
In today’s post, I wanted to share an easy workout that you can do anywhere this holiday season. All you need is medium dumbbells and a mat. Please let me know if you try it! (As always, consult your doctor before making any fitness changes and take care of your body.)

Form tips and hints:
From squat to upright row
Grasp two dumbbells and, keeping your chest up and your weight in your heels, squat down and back up. Exhale and squeeze your buttocks to rise and perform an upright row at the top.
jump squat
Make sure to bend your knees and land softly. Extend your arms above your head as you stand up, trying to create lightness in your movements. Squat as low as possible and reach as high as possible.
bow lunge
Cross one leg back and forth and lunge while bowing. Keep your front foot flat on the ground and raise your back heel off the floor.
frogger
Start in a pries squat position. Lower your hands until they touch the floor (keep your chest up). Jump up and land, touching the floor.
From bicep curls to overhead presses
Grab a dumbbell, squeeze your biceps and curl as you exhale, inhale to raise the weight to 90 degrees, and exhale as you press it overhead.
Push ups to Renegade Row
Start in a plank position on your knees or toes, holding a dumbbell in each hand. Lower your hips so that they are in line with your spine, and as you exhale, lift your chest up. Pick up one dumbbell, tighten your back and bend your elbows towards your torso, bringing your elbows close to your body. Lower and repeat on the other side.
scissors
As you exhale, lift your head and shoulders off the ground and grab the backs of your knees with your arms. Keeping your legs straight or bent, keep your core tight and switch legs.
