Foreign portfolio investors remained net buyers of Indian stocks on Monday after becoming net buyers on Friday. According to preliminary data from the National Stock Exchange, they wiped out 136 worth of shares.
According to the data, domestic institutional investors remained net buyers for the fifth consecutive day, as they purchased shares worth Rs 1,746.
FPI purchased shares worth Rs 1,794.59 on Friday. So far, in May, foreign investors have purchased net stock worth Rs 14,429.
Last month, foreign investors purchased net stock worth Rs 4,223, according to data from National Securities Dository Ltd. This came after FPI was a monthly net seller in the first three months of 2025.
In March they had net-loaded stock worth Rs 3,973. This was significantly lower compared to the net sales of shares worth 34,574 crore in February. This was preceded by a net sales of Rs 78,027 in January.
So far, FPI has sold over Rs 88,661 net shares, according to NSDL data.
