If you book a date of death and choose to see “Final Destination Pedigree” when you arrive at the theater, thank Yvette Ferguson for literally illuminating the screen with one of the most important and dangerous sequences included in the “Final Destination” franchise. Certainly, the iconic log track pile could stick to fans after all these years, and “Final Destination 5” may have one of the most compelling death sequences, but Ferguson’s time of glow should stand out more than most.

As the old proverbs say, love your work, and you will never work in your life for a day. And, according to a Ferguson witness at work, she was among the elements of “final destination pedigree,” and that element happened to be fire. Brec Bassinger played one of the cast members who attended a huge sequence of fire, tile rubs and a terrifying film spectacle, watching the collapse of a 400-foot tall tower, and witnessed Ferguson as a torch. “Yeah, I was on the set when they set her on fire! I was close to her. God, it’s beautiful. Everyone started clapping. She was so excited.”

Ferguson’s involvement made her a significant piece of a devastating puzzle organized by Lipovsky. Lipovsky continues the trend of major accidents in franchises that drive the circle of death for the “final destination bloodline.” When the director argues about scale, “You get the Hollywood feeling of that disaster film, but it’s very rare in a very R-rate tone. You get the sight of Roland Emmerich, but people are exploding and setting fire to a fire and spinning around death.
