Emma Radukanu is looking for a new coach after splitting with Vladimir Pratenik after failing his two-week exam.
The UK’s second round reached the second round of the Miami Open on Wednesday, earning a comfortable straight set victory over Japan’s Sayakaishii, but did so without Pratenik.
A Raducanu spokesman said, “Emma and Vlad have parted ways.
“Emma gives the utmost respect for Vlad and the work they started, but it wasn’t heading in the right direction.
“Currently, Emma is focused on what she can do in Miami after a solid start today and will continue to look for the right coach.”
Radukanu recruited Slovak Pratenik in a two-week trial of the Indian Wells Masters, but her first round elimination at the hands of Nakajima marked the end of their working relationship.
That means Radukanu has returned to the market for his coach, and Nick Cavade’s long-term successor has not yet been sourced.
Kavadei stopped from her role as coach for Radukanu on health reasons following the Australian opening, where she was defeated by Iga Switek in round three.
Including Miami’s open victory on Wednesday, Radkanu has won just two games since the departure of Kabadae.
Raducanu will face the tournament’s eighth seed Emma Navarro in the second round on Friday. Sky Sports.
