Emergence today announced the launch of the New Worlds Initiative, which will provide support to the first 100 world producers on the open metaverse. The initiative is backed by $ometa tokens and the Emergence infrastructure, which it seeks to use to create a connected “playable cinematic universe” of worlds in the open metaverse. In addition to the Emergence SDK and Marketplace, creators have access to tools and premium access through the Initiative.
According to Emergence, this new initiative will empower artists and creators to “collaborate and shape new worlds and economies” within the Metaverse while maintaining ownership of their IP and maintaining an interoperable, cross-platform economy. It aims to provide opportunities. The $ometa token is a token shared by all New Worlds, and some initiative members receive grants.
In addition to announcing this initiative, Emergence also announced the first members of New Worlds. The first is Bunshin Industries, a futuristic version of Tokyo. Players have access to tools to create photorealistic UGC and can create a variety of on-chain assets using the Emergence SDK. “Bunshin and its creators encapsulate what it means to be a World Producer, and we’re excited to announce them as the first in our New Worlds Initiative,” Emergence CEO Ryan Gill said in a statement. ”
Other initial members include Kor, which provides on-chain tracking and management of IP and integration with the Emergence SDK. ON1 Force is a community of artists collaborating in a decentralized anime universe. Basejump + ACTION is an “AI-powered social gaming stack” that allows gamers to earn, purchase, and mint game assets.
