In December, Elton John revealed he lost his eyesight.
An unexpected revelation came when Elton spoke to the crowd at a charity performance The devil wears prada Musical, he wrote the score.
The Rock icon suggested that his eyesight had deteriorated to the point where he couldn’t see his performance last night.

Elton John reveals loss of sight to London crowd
When Elton praised the musical’s cast and crew, the news came incredible.
“You know, I had problems and now I’ve lost my eyesight. I couldn’t see the performance, but I’m enjoying listening to it.” Daily Mail.
“To my husband, who was my rock, I lost sight as you know, as I lost sight, but I love hearing it,” he continued. Page 6).


“And boy, it sounds great tonight! OK! Thank you for coming!”
Gradual loss
Elton first hinted at issues in September 2024, including eyesight.
At the time, the 77-year-old issued a statement revealing that he has “limited vision in one eye” after dealing with “severe eye infections” over the summer.
“I’m healing, but it’s a very slow process and it takes time for my eyes to return to my shocked eyes,” he writes.


Last month, in an interview with Robin Roberts Good morning AmericaElton revealed that his condition had deteriorated.
“Unfortunately, I lost my vision in my right eye in July because I was infected in the southern part of France.
“And my left eye is not the best, so I have hope and encouragement that it’s okay, but I’m stuck at the moment…”
But now, Elton suggests that he lost sight in both eyes.


What’s next for Elton John?
He retired from tour in 2023, but Elton continues to live a lively and famous life.
In addition to his work in theatre, he supported many charity causes and recently joined Prince Harry and other celebrities in the fight against tabloid overreach.
The musical legend does not provide details about the nature of the infection that sacrificed his vision, or how his condition could affect his future plans.
