We share a complete summary of Disney Fanti’s cruises from Barcelona to Rome, Pisa (Florence), Genoa (Milan), Bandol (Provence) and Barcelona. This was Disney Cruise #6 (Fri, Baby!) for us and was my favorite to date. Check out this post for tips and tips for Disney cruises.
Hello friends! how are you? I hope you have a great morning. We are here in Sevilla, have a great time with friends and enjoy our trip to Barcelona, then our spectacular Disney cruises in the Mediterranean, and our time in Barcelona after the cruise. I hope your summer will have a great start too!
(I had to use Canva to remove a few people from before the photo. Here’s a link to the dress!))
In today’s post, I wanted to share a summary of the cruise! I know we loveoove Disney cruises – I didn’t think I would be a cruiser in general, but I’m here. This was a journey I’ve wanted to do for years. I was a blitz through all my favourite places (so far): Spain, Itati, France. It was an absolute dream.
Disney Fantasy Spain, Italy, France Abstract
We booked this trip with close friends and cruisers. I think this was Disney Cruise #17 for them. The trip is expected to be carried out by pilots with airline training. He was gone anyway, so we decided to stick to our plans and enjoy the girls’ trip. I think the girls will always remember this solo cruise trip with just the three of us and our amazing friends.
Disney Fantasy Balcony Room
We got a veranda room and in the past we didn’t need it. This time I spent a lot of time reading the veranda drinking coffee or reading or having late afternoon wine happy hour with Kathryn as their room was right next to me.
It’s spacious and lovely, and Disney bedding is just an A+. It’s softer and more luxurious than most hotel beds. (They use fret linen, but we loved them so much that we ended up buying it after our first Disney cruise.)
(Peek at the canopy humidifier in the background – I will never travel without it, and my eyes and skin are very happy)
Shows and Entertainment
Disney offers incredible Broadway quality shows and entertainment from deck parties, movies and films of musicians, comedians, characters and dancers. During our cruise they had three Broadway style shows: Aladdin, believe me, and It’s frozen. P and I were able to throw away two of them and ride the water slides over and over again. It’s frozen It was incredible. It was the best Elsa I’ve ever seen. She absolutely crushed it.
I also got to see something new Lilo and stitching It’s on the date before it’s officially released! We all loved it. It was heartwarming and I almost cried.
Eat food and gluten-free on a Disney cruise
From what I’ve heard, Disney is one of the safest cruises if you have a food allergy. They take them very seriously and even if you have allergies and sensitive or intolerance, they treat it like an allergy. We did a gluten-free food tour in Barcelona. The girls from the group who became celiacs say they feel that Disney Cruises can eat whatever they want.
GF Chocolate Walnut Torte is my favorite Disney Cruise Dessert:
In the past, I have navigated the menu myself as it is clearly marked with gluten-free options. Since P is now GF, we told them that both are gluten sensitivities (and it was clear that we were not allergic, but for health reasons, and that P is severely sensitive).
They had warm gluten-free rolls on the table every night, so the next day we pre-ordered every night. They can make *regular* menu options gluten-free with advance notice.
Kathryn and I had a paro one night and the salmon was perfect:
Indian cuisine at the Cabanas Buffet is my favourite day:
I also managed to eat gluten-free Mickey and churro waffles in the morning. Congratulate me on that.
Port Adventures and Excursions
I became passionate about Port Adventure. Because they were such a gorgeous place. You are in Pisa and you cannot get off the boat, did you know? They were a long excursion for the first two days (about 10 hours), but the girls were troopers.
Here’s what we did:
Rome by yourself
This was everything. You took the bus on a ride to Rome for about two hours and they dropped you off to enjoy your life for 5 hours, you returned to the bus.
“Enjoy your life” and for us, this meant eating an epic Italian lunch and shopping for the rest of our time.
The gluten-free pizza at La Sofitta Renobatio was everything I wanted.
We enjoyed the view and stopped for a late afternoon espresso and dessert, and we were very pleased.
Pisa and Florence with guided walking tours
We were able to see the slanting towers of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptist and Camposante. It was sprinkled on a bit, but it was still beautiful. It was also the same day as Giro D’Italia Time Trial, so we could see the cyclists ready to start.
After that we went to Florence where we skipped our guided walking tour, chose a complete GF meal at Mamaite, went shopping, visited Santa Claus Cathedral and saw the performance of Opera Street in the square.
Crispy bites along with Nutella:
You need to go back to Florence and explore Tuscany more.
Genoa Aquarium
As for Genoa, we chose a shorter excursion to visit the aquarium, one of the most impressive aquariums we visited. Fun fact: They use water from the ocean that is filtered and optimized for pH balance, so the fish have beautiful clean water every day. We all enjoyed this. Short and sweet.
Bundle yourself
For Bandol, we enjoyed our beach day in this quaint, lovely beach town. The girls had crepes and we grabbed snacks from the market and we sat on beach towels while the girls gathered shells and played with the water.
On the boat we did our usual shenanagun. The girl played the detective game,
We each night enjoyed family karaoke, some trivia/games, bingo relaxing in the pool, and great food and entertainment. We also spent some cold time in our room and did some workouts at the gym.
The cruise was 7 nights but we went too early!! We spent a few nights in Barcelona. I’ll post straight away on my Barcelona adventure and then head to Sevilla.
So tell me, Friend: Are you a cruiser? We love Disney cruises, but have not tried any other cruise lines.
Have a wonderful day. See you soon!
