If my top 10 Disney Cruise Tips and Tips are your first cruise, share your tips!
Hello, hello, friends! how are you? I hope you have a great morning. We are filming Europe in the summer in Harneys’ Part 1 and are starting a party on our sixth Disney cruise. I’ll share all the details when we return, but in today’s post I wanted to share some of my best Disney cruise tips of all time, especially if you’re new to it.
My Top 10 Disney Cruise Tips and Tricks
So this is Disney Cruise #6 for a reason. The whole family will take care of them. tbh, I’ve always been a bit about cruising ideas. Something about the bunch of kids at the spring break and party in casino atmosphere at university didn’t sound like an ideal family vacation, especially when the girls were really young. I’m also a bit surprised about going out to the beach.
Our friend told me how much I love Disney, especially for its cleanliness, food and entertainment, so we decided to give it a try. Needless to say, we were blown away and have since taken at least one Disney cruise in the year.
We have some experience under the belt, so we are confident that we share some tips that will help us as beginners or learn along the way. I feel I can write the entire series at this point, but this is my number one tip!
Please change clothes and pack another pool bag at check-in.
They take your luggage upon arrival and it will magically appear in your room within a few hours. In the meantime, bring your pool bag and head to the pool! It’s the whole trip that’s least crowded, and all the meals on the casual pool deck are open too. It’s so much fun to watch the kids slide and hang out in the pool, enjoying a buffet lunch or the tacos + drink of the day.
Order coffee the night before
If you want to drink coffee in the morning, order it at room service in the evening. It arrives at Karaf and remains warm all night. There is also a small fridge where you can store your creamer. Room service is inked – you simply need to tilt. I usually bring cash for room service tips.
Dining rotation
Each boat has about three main restaurants, revolving every night. If you are assigned an early meal (usually 5:45) or a late meal (8:15) you will have the same server and assistant each night. If you are not eating at the main restaurant, Broadway– Quality shows that allow you to attend at the opposite time (for example, a late diner can attend an early show before heading to dinner). Alternatively, you can skip the show, skip the main dining, order room service, chew quickly, head to the pool, watch a movie or swim. One night we skipped the main dining and show. The kids rode the water slide like 19 times.
In the dining room you can order anything from the menu. Do you want a meal that is all your appetizers? Would you like to try all the desserts? Want two lobster tails? Live your best life. It’s also incredible for allergies and dietary requirements. When I told them I was gluten-free (which I avoid for health reasons, not allergies), they had gluten-free rolls waiting for me every night.
Room Service Secrets
With the number of cruises we went, I have never seen the official room service menu. I know there are Mickey Ice Cream Bar, Milk and Cookies, Mac and Cheese, Pizza, Chicken Bids and more. But there are some secrets. They have cakes and pies for the day (you ask what flavors are available), cheese board (you can ask for gluten-free crackers).
The app is your friend
The Disney Cruise app is actually pretty great. All your plans and excursions, send messages to friends and family via the app, and check out the daily navigator with schedules and locations for activities for the day. There’s a lot going on every day, including movies, character greetings, dance parties, trivia, karaoke, bingo, towel folding lessons. You can also book extras such as wine tasting, whiskey tasting, spa services, and adult-only meals.
It causes a pop-up interference And bring some laundry pods with you
(If you plan to do the laundry)
I always do Randy on the last day of the boat. It’s not so depressing to bring home a suitcase full of cleaner clothes than dirty clothes. The laundry room is amazing (particularly a wish. It’s huge) and the app will warn you when it’s time to replace your machine.
I’ll decorate your door
I didn’t know how big this was, but many families are decorating the doors. Customizing them is a lot of fun. Etsy has lots of great magnets And while you don’t have to go over the top (some families do it perfectly, and I love to see it), the kids enjoy it.
If you love popcorn, get a popcorn bucket
You can buy a popcorn bucket on the first day (around $13) and refill your popcorn for around $3.00 while on board the boat. The kids love to bring it to the show with us and Disney Popcorn is just ++++++.
Disney Cruise Tips/Adorable
The only time you need to tilt during the cruise is when you order room service and it’s at the end of the cruise. In the last day, we provide fewer envelopes for servers, assistant servers, stateroom hosts, and more. The estimated amount of each person you helped during your stay will vary depending on the number of parties you have. The exact amount has changed, but for us it is usually a few hundred dollars in total for everyone. This will be billed to your account at the end of your trip.
If you want to tilt the additional amount, you can place a small slip with the cash you want to add to the Disney calculated amount + small envelope and deliver it personally. You can also ask Guest Services to add to your tips for you. We find that our servers and private hosts usually go beyond that.
Book a placeholder for your future cruise
When you’re on a boat and on the app, you’ll have the opportunity to book a placeholder for a $250 future cruise. This saves you 10% on your upcoming cruises and $250 is considered a down payment for the cost. This could be a rather sweet deal. You can reserve two placeholders per account. If you don’t use it, you’ll get a refund in 2 years, but I’m sure you’ll probably use it.
If you have any specific Disney cruise questions I can answer, send them my way!
Have a wonderful day. See you soon!
xoxo
