Pickens receives award
George Pickens had a very up-and-down season in 2024. He was the Steelers’ best playmaker, but he was also their biggest problem. Too often he let his emotions control him. There are also rumors that he’s been a problem off the field as well. Nevertheless, his efforts on the field last week were recognized.
According to NFL plays football on Twitter; Last week, Pickens received the “Way to Play” award for his work. As a result, the NFL Foundation will award a $5,000 grant to a youth or high school football program of Pickens’ choice. Pickens has had a strange season, but this could be a nice payback.

Flores potential HC
Brian Flores had a great 2024 season as the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. He joined the Steelers in 2023 after spending 2022 with them. Flores gave the Steelers defensive power while helping them rebuild their value in the NFL. Now all his efforts may be paying off.
According to FOX Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz On Twitter, Flores is interviewing for several head coaching positions. This includes the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chicago Bears. I hope Flores gets another chance as an NFL head coach.
Don’t play flower tracking
The Baltimore Ravens crushed the Steelers in the playoffs without their best wide receiver, Zai Flowers. Flowers was the first Raven to make the Pro Bowl as a wide receiver, showing just how talented he is. Their offense will suffer without him, even if it didn’t look that way against the Steelers. It’s starting to look like he might not play this week either.
On Twitter, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said he was told Flowers has an outside chance to play against the Buffalo Bills this week. That would be a devastating blow to the Ravens. They dominated the Bills earlier this year, but that doesn’t guarantee the same result in the playoffs.
