Flacco and Roethlisberger
The Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are one of the greatest rivalries in NFL history. Up until this point, that battle may have been the most intense when Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco were the quarterbacks of those teams. Both are Super Bowl champions, and Flacco may not be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he was always a nightmare for the Steelers.
This past game against the Colts proved that. Flacco came in as a backup quarterback and rocked the Steelers. Apparently he had a chance to meet with Roethlisberger before the game. The pictures are as follows Seen on the Steelers’ Instagram page. And it will bring back many memories. The two helped foster a rivalry that defined a generation.
crazy ravens status
The Ravens got off to a bit of a slow start this season, but have been increasing their level of play as of late. They sit just behind the Steelers in the AFC North at 2-2. Their incredible running game led the way. Quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry have both moved the football strongly. In fact, they have a chance to make history.
According to To Tony Holtzman Escareno on Twitter, Both Henry and Jackson currently rank among the top 10 leading rushers this year. If they can maintain this performance through the end of the year, they could become the first quarterback-running back duo to rank in the top 10 in rushing in the Super Bowl era. That would be an unreal sight.
There are no updates regarding rice.
The Kansas City Chiefs still look like the best team in the NFL. They are undefeated but could struggle down the stretch. They’ve already lost wide receiver Marquise Brown this year, and it looks like they could lose receiver Laci Rice as well. Rice suffered a severe bruise to his knee during a recent game and had to be carried off the field. There wasn’t.
Things don’t seem to be looking good for Rice, but nothing has been officially announced yet. According to About the NFL on Twitter Chiefs head coach Andy Reid did not provide an update on Rice’s status today. He is still being tested, but is not expected to play this week. The Steelers don’t play the Chiefs until Week 17, so there’s plenty of time for Rice to recover between now and then, assuming he doesn’t miss the rest of the year.
