Essel Group Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Tata family after the legendary industrialist Ratan Tata passed away at a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday. Dr. Chandra wrote on the micro-blogging site Expressing sadness while recalling the time he passed the Tata Group leader, the media mogul said, “His (Ratan Tata’s) visionary leadership and impact on Indian industry was profound. I communicated with him regularly on corporate issues, and I look forward to continuing to cherish his legacy.” We value innovation and social responsibility. ”
“My condolences to his family,” Dr. Chandra wrote.
Ratan Tata’s last rites were scheduled to be performed at Worli in central Mumbai on Thursday at 4pm. Mr. Tata, honorary chairman of Tata Sons, was 86 years old.
Ratan Tata will be remembered not only as one of the country’s most respected businessmen, but also as a great visionary, entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Ratan Tata is credited with taking the Tata Group to unprecedented heights.
Mr. Tata was chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 until his retirement in 2012.
