Once a giant, always a giant. It is a genuine and enduring mantra for all who wear the legendary blue.
The latest example is former New York quarterback Daniel Jones sending holiday cheer to his former offensive line teammates.
Reported by ESPN’s Jordan Raanan. Jones reportedly sent his former linemate a limited edition bottle of Clase Azul.
Daniel Jones changed classes. He may not be the Giants’ QB anymore…but he sent a limited edition bottle of Clase Azul to every offensive lineman he was on the roster with.
Jones was benched and released by the Giants last month. He is on the Vikings’ practice squad.
Jones started the first 10 games of the season, but was benched after going 2-8. He was subsequently released and placed on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad a few days later.
Jones was the Giants’ first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft and got off to a strong start to his career, starting 12 games and scoring 24 touchdowns as a rookie.
But after that, his career took a downward turn. Injuries, coaching and regime changes, and a rotating cast of mediocre players around him doomed his career with the Giants.
His quarterback record over five and a half seasons was a disappointing 22-44-1.
