Popcorn has popped out – ’causes the competitive eater of world champions Joey Chestnut I just went from the kernel to the kernel with my own records…and Shocker – he buttered it and broke it!
Yes, you asked right – Joey made a full snack attack at the king of the Southern Tele-Auto Country in Indiana on this anniversary. There, according to the Top Popcorn pros, he inhaled 42 servings in just eight minutes.
This guy has been amazing himself for years – three years ago, the Guinness World Records confirmed that Joey defeated 32 servings of 24 ounces of popcorn in eight minutes… broke his own previous record of 28.5.
The last time he broke the record, Joey almost lost his teeth. So this time I wanted to dodge the normal kernel of a cheating person.
He also said his strategy is to stir the water with any swallow to help the popcorn go down, trapping it in a rhythm and pushing your body to the limit.
Not surprising here – Joey is basically a gluttonous goat with over 55 world records and 16 Nathan’s Hot Dog Meal Contest titles.
Obviously Joey is about everything popping out and raising the bar – and butter!
