The Chicago Sky announced that they have extended coach James Wade’s tenure through 2025.

According to James Kay of The Next Hoops, the latest contract extension Wade signed is a “renegotiated and renovated contract that replaces the one Wade signed in 2021 after leading the Sky to their first title in franchise history.” ”
“The clock has started again and the new contract is for three years.”
Wade has amassed a 74-50 record since taking over on the sidelines in 2019. Wade led the Sky to third, first, second and first place in the Eastern Conference. He led the Sky to their first title in 2021 as the sixth seed.
This year, the Sky (26-10) finished as the best team in the East, but are the No. 2 overall seed behind the Aces in the playoffs. The Aces finished with the same result, but won the tiebreaker and defeated Sky three times. 4 regular season meetings.
