Follow spoilers for “Dardevil: Reborn.”
“Dardevil: Reborn” Season 1 ended with Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox)’s Downer Notes. His biggest enemy, Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent Danofrio), is no longer the mayor of New York City, and he is the dictator of the Big Apple. With martial law and the anti-Bigile Task Force on his side, Fisk is beating Daredevil more than ever. To defeat him, Matt tells Karen Page (Deborah Anne Wal) that he will need an army.

What does that army look like? At the end of the episode, Matt brings together his current allies: Karen, legal partner Kirsten McDuffy (Nicki M. James), former detective Cherry (Clark Johnson), and current (and honest) police officer Angie Kim (Rooibo Chian), and more. Who else can this army enlist?
Punisher (Jon Bernthal) also escaped Fisk’s imprisonment, so he will likely return to his next fight. This is also a way to regain Defender and Matt’s ex-girlfriend Electra Nazios (Elodi Yong). But is this team still called a defender?
The story of Matt from “The Military” sent me my comic fan antenna. One of the major influences of “Born Again” so far has been the run on Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto’s 2019-2023 “Daredevil”. The first half of the run is inspired so far as “reborn” following Matt, who tries to leave Daredevil behind in order to act as mayor of New York. The second half of the run (“Red Fist Saga”) is followed by Matt and Electra, who have put together the fist, a vigilante army, to fight injustice beyond what superheroes usually do.

Is Born Again season 2 trying to adapt “Red Fist Saga”?
Reborn Season 2 will see Daredevil gathering troops against the Kingpin
There’s a lot to say about Matt’s description in “An Army” – is there a possibility that Marvel comics heroes are in it? I think the aforementioned Elektra is a simple and easy person to include. During Zdarsky’s “Daredevil”, Elektra begins to prove to Matt that she can become a hero like him. This is one of Electra’s best recent comic stories and is ripe for adaptation.

Next is the defender. Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter) have not yet introduced their “reborn” into the MCU. No one is screaming for Finn Jones to return as Iron Fist, but Jessica Henwick says she wants to come back as Colleen Wing. “Born Again” also features several small appearances by Jack Duquesne/Swordsman (Tony Dalton), who butt his head on Fisk. Now, these appearances appear to be teeing swordsmen to take on a bigger role in season 2 as Daredevil’s ally.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is forbidden from appearing on the Disney+ show. So don’t expect him to be a finger on Daredevil’s fist.

Does the military have to be everything? hero, But? In the comics, the fist was primarily composed of supervillains. Disillusioned with the criminal justice system, Matt broke into the raft’s super crime prisons, freeing many prisoners, reforming them, and taking it to rehabilitate them.
However, there aren’t many reused villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like this. One of the main members of the Fist of the Comics, Buck Cashman/Bullet, was reconsidered in “Daredevil: Reborn” as Fisk’s Bodyman. Perhaps the show could eventually get Alice Eve back as typhoid Mary for a postponed fight with Daredevil?
The only other loose-end villain is someone who hates Daredevil even more than Fisk. Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), the man who murdered Matt Murdoch’s best friend Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). Dex attempts to assassinate Fisk in episode 8 “Reborn” but the finale shows him still running. Can Daredevil and Bullseye come together as the enemy’s enemies are their friends?
“Daredevill: Born Again” is streamed on Disney+. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
