Bo Nicks is not a Pitts Burg Starers, but his legs may be troublesome.
Pittsburgh dominated Kirk’s cousins, and the Steelers thrive before Rush has a chance.
They tend to struggle more against mobile quarterbacks. Not all the time, but I think that tends to be frustrating, as is the case for most teams. The quarterback run factor is another consideration, another issue to deal with, and a trump card when the coverage does its job and takes everything away.
The Steelers engine is to stop the run, contain and rush instead of stumble and rush and go for the sack.
That mindset might slow Pittsburgh’s rush a little, and Bo Nix could move and stretch. No mean feat, but he led the Broncos with 35 yards rushing and scored their only points on a diving play over Seattle’s goal line. Nix outran a defensive lineman to the edge, fooled another defender, and then ran the ball over the line. Then he rolled his way to the end zone.
Plays like that, especially after facing a quarterback like Cousins, playing a guy like that.
Pittsburgh’s defense can trust the Steelers to contain Denver’s running game.
