The Age of “@”[insert username] The “I blocked you” page appears to be over. Elon Musk, owner of X, A blocked user will be able to see posts from the account that blocked them.
Blocked accounts will still not be able to interact with those accounts, but they will still be able to see their posts. The new Blocked Access feature has been implemented so that users can see and interact with accounts that have already blocked them by switching to an unblocked account.
Musk has wanted to disable X’s blocking feature for some time. Over a year ago, he first announced (on Twitter, specifically) that he would block non-direct messages. He wrote that blocking was “being removed as a ‘feature'” and that it “doesn’t make sense.”
The company announced in May last year that it would be introducing changes to blocked viewers on its platform, without giving a specific implementation or rollout date. The post said the changes were being introduced to allow users with blocked accounts to “identify and report potentially harmful content that was previously unavailable to them.”
