Anthony Bourdain’s Eerie Final Texts To His Assistant Exposed

Woolever has not only managed the schedules of some of the world’s most famous travel chefs. She co-authored his book and acted as his publicist, and was “Luka Blazi” in “The Godfather” when Anthony Brudain himself joked.

Their close working relationship naturally evolved into a deep friendship that remains in her dreams.

“For years I had these dreams he was coming back, and it turns out that it was just a big ploy that he decided to disappear for a while,” she shared people. “And I’m in a position to help him get reworked into life.”

Woolever admits that she holds a “running list” of things she can tell him.

Through her work with Bourdain, Woolever maintained an “active journal practice” that became the foundation of her memoirs. She also had years of emails and text messages with him until the final exchange in June 2018.

At the time, Bourdaine was in Alsace, France, filming episodes of “Unknown Parts.” That same week, the paparazzi photo was allegedly involved in another man, showing his girlfriend, actress and director, Asia Argento.

“We talked about it, but we also talked about very ordinary things like, ‘Let’s schedule an appointment for this doctor,'” recalls Woolever. “It’s hard to alleviate his belief that he was going back to New York, and he wasn’t.”

Bourdain and Argento released their relationship in May 2017, but behind the scenes, Woolever was already managing the media fallout. She recalls how Bourdain called her with instructions to handle the question shortly after the Italian tabloids published a photo of the couple together in Rome New York Post.
