Agave Games announced today that it has secured $18 million in funding as part of its Series A round, following a successful seed round earlier this year. Felix Capital and Balderton Capital co-led the round, with participation from E2VC. Agave said it will use the funding to expand its popular mobile puzzle title “Find the Cat,” as well as explore new game development and expand its team at its Istanbul location.
Find the Cat, as the name suggests, is a casual puzzle game where players have to find a cat. According to Agave, the game had more than 10 million downloads in its first quarter on the market. Agave Games CEO Alper Oner said in a statement: “This investment will allow us to double down on the success of Find the Cat while exploring new ideas that redefine casual puzzle games. We are excited to take the studio to the next level by expanding our team and portfolio.”
As previously mentioned, the studio is planning on developing a new casual puzzler title to follow up Find the Cat, and plans to launch at least two titles in the next year. Agave said the company will focus on innovative gameplay mechanics and social features, while also focusing on dual monetization through in-app advertising and in-app purchases. Baran Terzioglu, Agave’s CPO and co-founder, said in a statement that the new game “pushes the boundaries of what players expect from casual games and introduces new concepts that we think will resonate globally.” Ta.
Rob Moffat, partner at Balderton Capital, said in a separate statement: Agave has assembled a great team and has worked extremely hard to identify and optimize new genres and produce polished games. “Find the Cat” is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see more in the pipeline in 2025. ”
