Hello friends! Happy Friday! how are you? I hope you had a great week. Sorry to play cricket here this week – we’ve lived in Sevilla for the past few days so we were able to publish two posts. One of the greatest gifts for myself on this long trip was that I pre-written 12 blog posts before we left. It really gave me the opportunity to unplug and enjoy, and now we’re at home and it’s back to the routine!
I’m quite proud of myself. Because for most of the trips, I was raising a solo child. The girl and I headed across the sea to Barcelona, having fun a few days before the cruise, then after the cruise we took a Disney cruise and flew to Sevilla where we spent over four weeks and the pilots were able to join us for the past few days.
He had finished training after returning to the airline, and was hoping for what we were expecting, and I think it would work out on the trip, but I didn’t do that. The girl and I went for it because he was going to go away anyway and I am very happy. They’re getting older now, so things become easier, but it was definitely a Core Memory Girls trip! There are still a few posts in the Spanish post, including my tips, Airbnb recipes, Zero Jet Lag, Gluten Free Food Tours in Barcelona, and how to travel with food. If you have any questions about future posts, please contact LMK!
In the meantime, I’m wearing a copy air conditioner hoodie here, cuddled with Miasey. I’d love to hear what you’re doing and what you’re doing this weekend!
Some photos from last week:
An incredible dinner in Petra. This spot won with my favorite tortillas and tried many of them while we were there 😉
Pollo Asado, also known as Chicken Man. We had Polaro Assad many times while in Sevilla. Because it was just below the street from our Airbnb. They had a roasted chicken so you had to tell the guy how much you wanted what you wanted, he got your chicken, cut it and put it in a container, drizzling it with juice from the roasting dish. It was the best chicken for $11. I’m going to miss it!
The pilot made it! He finished his training and jumped onto the jump sheet to meet us. He got there in time for Father’s Day celebrations at the water park and theme park Isla Mágica. We were with four other families, and all the kids (and adults) loved it.
That night we walked to La Caboneria, a bar with live flamenco. We got there in time for the show. It was perfect! We enjoyed some tinto de Verano and amateur flamenco.
Bullfighting Rings and Museum. I never attended bullfighting, but was interested in seeing such an important part of the museum and Sevilano culture and history.
(The dress is here // The shoes are here))
Cañabota. We enjoyed a double date night with Sam and Tony with Lil Michelin Star. This meal was spectacular. Everything was very fresh and beautifully prepared. Recommended on 10/10.
(The liquid in the glass on the far right was “Water Gaspacho.” That was clear, but it tasted like a Gaspacho!)
My beautiful friend Sam! We are so happy that our babies decided that when they were only three years old they were best friends forever.
It’s my favorite party time every Friday. This is where I share some of my favorite discoveries from around the web and a week. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so please shout out what you love in the comments section below.

Fashion + Beauty + Random:
You’ll find a new dress! Before we left, I grabbed this at Corte Inglés (my favorite multi-level department store in Spain). The brand is Maksh.
Applause for my pre-Spanish manicure. While we were gone, I decided to zero maintenance so I was able to grow in search of a shade that matches my flowers and my natural nails. The technology nailed it. This is seven weeks of growth and can only be seen if you can see it well. From afar, they still look fine.
Read, see, listen:
Don’t forget to post about this week’s podcast episode and check out here for why you’re doing everything but still not losing weight.
I watched four movies on my flight at home! West Side Story (The new version is really on top from acting, costume, choreography, casting), The bride’s father (Super cute and fun) New snow white (It feels like it was okay despite the bad press/review) and Pearl Harbor (Can you believe I’ve never seen the whole thing?). My eyes were burning after that, but that happened once every 10 years ha ha.
Fitness, Health, and Good Food:
Return to my red light. Using this again felt very good and quickly increased the energy. (Fitnessista saves $260)
Tomorrow I’ll be making my uncle’s famous pasta salad for my family dinner.
I ordered this grill brush Because there are no metal hairs.
Make this ice cream cake as quickly as possible.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Have a great weekend. I’ll meet YA soon!
xoxo
