The younger and older versions of the musicians Paul Dano and John Cusackand both actors do a stunning job of portraying the artist’s struggle with mental illness and addiction. The film also examines Wilson’s creative victory over decades and his relationship with a controversial therapist Dr. Eugene Randy (pole Gamatti) And his wife, Melinda Ledbetter (Elizabeth Banks).
