On the special occasion of Muhurat Trading today to mark the beginning of Samvat 2081, Mr. Vikas Sethi, Managing Director, Sethi Finmart suggested two stocks to pick in the short term. Importantly, we entered a new year, a new year in the Hindu tradition, and the Nifty remained strong, rising about 0.45 percent above the 24,300 level. Meanwhile, the broader market outperformed the major indexes, with the Nifty Small Cap 100 Index gaining over 1%.
Below are two of Vikas Sethi’s recommended stocks.
VST cultivator
The expert recommended the stock based on the company’s strong sales in October. For the scrip, analysts have set a target of Rs 4,650 till Monday, i.e. November 4, suggesting an upside of over 4% in two days.
The recommended stop loss for the same is Rs 4,410.
M Cap small cap company is engaged in manufacturing power tillers and tractors.
NBCC
Another stock on his recommended list today is a PSU company that operates in the construction business. For the same, experts have set a target of Rs 102 and a stop loss of Rs 94.
In one year, the stock price soared 129 per cent, while the Nifty CPSE index rose 72 per cent in a similar period.
Experts generally remain bullish on India’s growth story and expect the index to deliver mid-double-digit returns over 12 months. However, Aditya Agarwal, head of derivatives and technical analysis at Sanctum Wealth, expects the market to remain volatile with a 4-5% correction in the short term.
